NORTH READING YOUTH FIELD HOCKEY'S MISSION AND GOALS

Mission Statement

It is North Reading Youth Field Hockey's intent to create a positive environment for the youth of North Reading, through a well-structured and organized program that helps to foster athletic development and strong character. NRYFH is committed to ensuring that all participating players learn the game with an emphasis on skill development, good sportsmanship, and enjoyment.

Our program offers teams at various age groups. Kindergarten through second grade, third and fourth grade, fifth and sixth grade, and seventh and eighth grades.

Our Goals

Our primary goal is for all players to have a fun, rewarding experience while continually demonstrating good sportsmanship on and off the field of play. We look to continually educate the fundamental skills, rules and teamwork required to play field hockey. We look to achieve this goal by emphasizing positive coaching, teaching life lessons and skills beyond the sport and promoting a sense of community within our program that can extend to the communities our teams represent.
